Description: GoodLink is a standards-based wireless messaging and data
access system that provides mobile field forces with a synchro-nized
connection to Microsoft Exchange Server and other critical
applications. GoodLink's architecture is FIPS-certified and incor-porates
VeriSign AES end-to-end encryption of email, data and
attachments. GoodLink includes synchronizing server software,
security and application software for managing multiple networks
and a variety of devices. The MPx features a multifunction
QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth, and camera, and supports GSM
voice and data, and Wi-Fi data capabilities.
DEMO says: Good Technology might not have the instant brand recognition of
Research in Motion’s BlackBerry, but the company is making
tremendous inroads into the enterprise mobile email market. With
support for Palm OS already in place and the new SmartPhone
client the company is launching this week, Good Technology’s
application approach positions the company well to take enter-prise
customers as the mobile messaging market biforcates
between consumer and enterprise customers.
Market Outlook: In 2003, just over 28M professionals worldwide were consid-ered
mobile employees (The Radicati Group). By 2007 that num-ber
will grow to more than 40M mobile workers (The Radicati
Group). There are just under 2M users of mobile email solutions
(The Radicati Group). The wireless messaging space will grow
from its 2003 size of approximately $228M to $812M in

Funding: Good recently secured Round D funding of more than $45M
dollars. Good's investors include Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield and
Byers, and Benchmark Capital.
