XoraProduct: Xora GPS TimeTrack
Description: Launched in 2003, Xora GPS TimeTrack currently saves
more than 1,000 companies in the transportation, construc-tion,
HVAC, and services industries thousands of dollars per
year. With Xora GPS TimeTrack, companies easily and
inexpensively can track the location of their mobile employ-ees,
and record timesheet and job information. There is no
software to install; all that is required is a PC with an
Internet connection.
DEMO says: Xora quietly has made a name for itself providing location-based
enterprise field-service applications to now more
than 1,000 customers. The company builds on that early
success with the first location-based application that focuses
on business process by combining location and events,
enabling organizations to locate and manage field opera-tions.
In addition to the functionality this application brings
to its customers, Xora Mobile Services also may well be the
first, an early example of a mass market mobile business
application.
Market Outlook: Xora is focused on delivering location-based workforce
management solutions to small and midsize businesses. The
total mobile population in the SMB space is close to 27M
(Frost & Sullivan). According to Frost & Sullivan, this market
is expected to grow to 9M subscribers generating $1.2B in
revenue by 2006 (33% CAGR).
Funding: $11M to date, most recent funding was in February 2003,
Venture funded by Dawntreader Ventures and individual
investors.
